Year: 4th Theology

Before seminary I was pretty cool (at least I thought I was). I have always loved music...for as long as I can remember I have always been a singer. I have fond memories of annoying my siblings on family trips because I would stop entertaining them and myself with my singing in long car rides. In high school I performed in a number of musicals including Copacabana and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

In college I was a part of a co-ed acappella group called the Big Bing Theory. (Bing Crosby attended Gonzaga back in the day!) I also have fond memories of college friends describing me to their other friends and families that a good description of me was "David is pretty much a walking musical." Besides music I have also always loved Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, and hanging out with family and friends. I am a bit of an extrovert and therefore think best and live best while talking. I have also always tried to love our Lord...for as long as I can remember I have been a pray-er and tried to learn more about God's presence in my life.

Some of my earliest memories of my childhood are when after my family would say our family daily night prayers my mom or dad would say "Don't forget to say your prayers!" To me that meant when I went into the quiet of my own room I would spend some one on one time with God. Most of the time I said these prayers while laying in bed (which I don't recommend because it usually leads to falling asleep before finishing). Nonetheles, I would say something like, "Dear God, thank you for this day and thank you for every day...please help 'so and so' feel better, Amen." (for a 6 year-old I think that was pretty good.)
